Do you offer free consultations?

Absolutely! We invite everyone to come into the salon for a complimentary 15 minute hair consultation before deciding to visit as a client. One of our team will sit down with you to get to know more about you, and your hair, before taking you through their recommendations and letting you know what an appointment at Gents will cost.

Appointments and salon availability
  • Due to high demand, Open Barbers operate entirely on advance appointments.
  • To make a booking please click the ‘Online Booking’ button at the top of the page.
  • At the moment we are typically booked up around 2 weeks in advance.
  • Where enough notice is given, we post news of cancellations as Facebook and Twitter updates.
  • We have limited color appointments available with Mable
How to Cancelling your appointment?
  • We request 24 hours notice for appointments up to 90 minutes, and 48 hours for appointments longer than 90 minutes.
  • With 24 / 48 hours notice, you can cancel or move your appointment by clicking on the link on your original booking confirmation email and text message.
  • With less than 24 / 48 hours notice, please email us at gents@yoursite.com or call / text +1(818) 55 666 77 to let us know if you need to cancel your appointment and we will endeavour to fill it. We don’t always pick up messages on social media.
  • For cancellations less than 24 / 48 hours in advance that we are unable to fill, we email clients kindly requesting a donation to cover our losses.
How do I give a feedback to your barbers?

You can contact us by email, text message, phone or visit in person to speak to a member of our team. Your first point of contact might be your stylist or Gents, Director.

You can post feedback on Google Reviews or social media sites (we use Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter.)

Do you do formal wedding packages?

Yes, we can assist with wedding and formal packages available. Enquire at any of our stores or email us or contact us via contact page.

Common questions

Do you shave faces?

Yes we do shave faces, we also clean up around ears and the back of the neck with the razor upon request.

Do we do shape ups?

Yes we do and an appointment is not necessary for a shape up because it’s only a 5 dollar charge unless including your beard it’s a 10 dollar charge.

How long have you been in business?

We’ve been in business here in West Chester Borough for almost 23 years we established May 7, 1991

Do we have a yearly membership?

We do not have different stages of membership. We value every customer and we do not want to make anyone wait their turn because of someone else. If you are our loyal customer, we recommend you to check our Sixpack and which will get you savings on your haircuts without the need to give up any of your benefits.

Do I need to book an appointment in advance?

You are always welcome to just walk-in to check if we have free times but we recommend booking in advance especially after 3pm when we are usually pretty busy. Especially if you want to have a longer service we recommend to book an appointment so that you can come when it suits you best. We can see the bookings of all our barber shops so our barbers can always offer you the next available time in any Gents barber shop near you.
